Step 1
Decide how often you will actually use the bed portion of the sleeper sofas. If you plan to use it often, or every night, make sure you get a quality bed with plenty of support. You will pay extra for this support, but it is well worth the price.
-
Step 2
Look only at the couch comfort and beauty if you plan to rarely use sleeper sofas to actually sleep. If you just want an extra bed "just in case", don't give much thought to the pull out element. The actual couch design is where you should aim your focus.
-
Step 3
Make sure the sleeper sofas you consider are constructed with strong strong steel and have tempered springs. Even if you don't plan to use it much, this is important for it's lifespan.
-
Step 4
Consider a futon instead of sleeper sofas if you have a limited budget and are young. The younger generations tend to enjoy the look and feel of futons. They are modern, yet fairly comfortable to sleep on.
