How to Harass a Telemarketer

How many times a day can these people call!?! Even after one signs up for the DO NOT CALL LIST the companies find a way around it. Don't get flustered I'm going to give you the information you need to harass a telemarketer. If this doesn't get you put on that Do Not Call List nothing will.

Instructions

1. 

   Act stupid, keep saying "What, I don't understand". Repeat EVERYTHING they are saying only put it in question form. During their pitch blurt out random or made-up words.

2. Pretend you can't hear them well, but don't let them hang-up. Keep asking questions to make them think you are interested.

3. Ask them for more information on what they are selling then lay the phone down for a while. If they're still there when you pick the phone up just say "not interested", and hang the phone up.

4. Have your computer speak the responses for you. (If you are unsure of how to do this check out the resources section of this article)

5. Half way through the call invent a new language and pretend that's all you can speak. This will definitely annoy them considering the first part of the conversation will be in English!

6. Start singing, any song will do. Every time they try to speak over you sing LOUDER!

7. 

   If all else fails, and only as a last resort, act like you're in the bathroom: Grunt a little, make a few toot noises to let them know you mean business, place the phone next to the toilet and drop a couple of ice cubes in there, ask them to hold on a second and flush.

   Being annoyed isn't going to make them stop calling so have fun with it. Remember a telemarketer is a human being and they are only doing their job. Like everyone else they must work and in these tough economic times most telemarketers are facing lay-offs. The majority of telemarketers will actually get a kick out of these tips I have given you and place you on the Do Not Call List, but if you're too harsh expect to be placed on the call later list.

• Most of us have family and friends that are being affected by these lay-offs, to those I would like to say "Good luck, I really do love you, it's just you aggravate the crap out of me!"
