We spend so much of our day thinking of work, the house, the needs of our kids and spouse that we often neglect to spend any part of our day making our needs a priority. Over time this can lead to feelings of fatique and a decreased lack of energy. Here are some simple ways that you can boost your spirits, end fatique and get more energy.

In the morning on first waking, throw open the curtains to allow natural light to come in. This will help you to wake up and boost your mood. Do some simple stretching to warm up your muscles and get ready for a busy day ahead. Drink a glass of hot water with wedges of lemon. This is a great boost for your digestion and very energizing for the functioning of your internal system.

At the end of your shower, finish off with a quick blast of cold water to invigorate and boost your circulation.

Increase your water intake. Try to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. You may find that that is too much water to get in over the course of one day so if you only drink 2-3 extra glasses a day it will help increase your energy levels and prevent dehydration.

Keep your blood sugar steady over the course of the day by eating small meals regularly. Be sure to include a complex carbohydrate and protein at every meal or snack. Get into the habit of taking a multivitamin daily.

To improve circulation and increase energy commit to 15 minutes of simple exercise every day. Walking outside, if possible is perfect.
