I can't tell you how many steel wool pads I'd go through just because they would turn into a pile of rust. What a waist of money and resources. This is one of the most simple steps to save resources and money.

It won't save you hundreds but with todays economy every penny counts and the environment counts as well!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • used soapy steel wool pad
  • freezer
  1. Step 1

Take a used soapy steel wool pad in your hand.

I am sure you can place it in a baggie to keep soap from getting on food but I have a special plastic container for mine

  2. Step 2

Then walk over to the freezer and open the freezer door.

  3. Step 3

Simply place the pad in the freezer and thaw next time you need to use a soapy wool pad.

The thawing process is quick. You can just take it out 30 mins to an hour before use. If your in a hurry you can just put it in some warm water.
