This is a reminder to all of us that everyone can give, oh, and that shrinking our stomach is tied into this. If interested, read on.

From my simple instructions, all of us will be able to shrink our stomachs and do good for others.

        Each time we eat our stomach bag expands to accomodate the food coming in. If we eat less, our stomach bags don't have to stretch as much, and if we eat a lot, yes, our stomach bags stretch out more and more. So, to keep our stomachs at a good size, we should eat less.

        In order to eat less, we must fast, and yes, I am talking about missing a meal or two. By doing this, our stomachs will shrink, so for the next meal, we will eat less. Thus, the more we fast, the less we eat, the less calories we consume, and our stomachs remain small. Of course, this doesn't mean we can go ahead and stop eating, this means that fasting for a meal or two a day twice a week will keep our stomachs at a manageable size.

        If you are eating small meals six times a day, skipping one or two will not affect you much. The trick is to have enough food or fuel in the body to keep the body and mind working well. Fasting can be done only if you're otherwise healthy, and preferably after your consult your physician.

        During your fast, drink lots of water to cleanse your system. Your body will begin to change for the better. You will even start to become so sensitive that you would be able to taste the chemicals certain foods may have. Your body will become more and more in a natural state.

        When you fast, you should ask yourselves how much you may have potentially spent on the meal you missed. For example, if you missed a store-bought sandwich, a yogurt and a drink for lunch, that may come to $7.00. Take the $7.00 out of your purse and place it in a box, or jar, or envelope (your preference).

        When you have filled your jar, envelope, box or another container with $20, go ahead and find the charity of your choice that would accept that. Of course, you can wait until you have $50, or a $100, but then the temptation to spend it for yourself would be greater. Donating $20 a month or in two months to a charity of your choice would greatly help the people on the other side.

        The money that you would have spent on yourself for eating, would be able to feed a family that stands out on the street to beg because they can't eat. Do them, and yourself a favor, fast, and give, it's the only way.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Try not to over do it with the fasting. You have to stay healthy to work or keep busy.

    • Try to get your family to join the cause.

    • The giving will make you a better person.

    • If you don't like to drink a lot of water, drink water with apple juice in it for taste.

    • A Homeless Shelter association would be a good charity to try.

    • Consult a physician before attempting fasting.
