How to celebrate Dress Up Your Pet Day cheaply

January 14 is Dress up you pet day! Here are some ways to celebrate and do it cheaply

Things You'll Need:

• Fabric (used is fine)
• Old Halloween costume
• Pet treats
• Dog and Cat toys
• kids hats
• a dollar store if you don't feel like making costumes
• dog food
• cat food

   First Dress up your pet in things around your house. Some ideas include taking a white pillow case and wrapping it around your dog for a toga. Also if you have a tiara or small cowboy hat you can make your cat or dog a princess or cowboy. If you have a silk shirt or Pillow case you can use that to make a cape and the Animal can be super pet. Make it fun.

2. Though it is fun for you it may not be fun for your pet so once they get tired of that costume, take the costume off and celebrate with a pet treat for your pet and a cupcake for you. Some ideas for the humans celebrating dress up your pet day are bone shaped cookies, cupcakes with cats or dogs on top of them, chow mix(chex mix but renamed for the occasion. Animal crackers are also a simple way to celebrate the day.

   Then its time for games and toys! Get your pet a new toy from a dollar store and play with them. Then play animal themed games with your kids. Examples include pin the tail on the donkey, zoo animal paddle games, or a hello kitty board game.

Tips & Warnings

• play animal themed music for the kids.
• Candy is also good for the celebration or veggies with dip for heathly snacks
• Remember the day is about your pet so spend as much time as you can making the pet feel special
• decorate the house with bones,pictures of animals such as dog,cats, birds and more.
• dog food and cat food cans can be used to decorate the house
• make sure the human food are not in reach of the pets since they can make the animal sick.
• try not to tie anything to tight around your pet
