Step 1
100% Organic Cotton underwear are very breathable - avoid wearing tight panties and thongs!THINGS TO AVOID:
*Tight-fitting underwear
*Non-cotton underwear
*Long hot baths with bubble bath and soap
*Feminine deodorants and scented wipes
*Douching
*Eating sugar, yeast, white flour, sausage
*Taking Antibiotics
*Taking Oral Contraceptives/Birth Control Pills
*Stress -
Step 2
Organic yogurtEAT YOGURT! Yogurt has live cultures in it that help maintain a healthy pH balance in the vagina. Eat yogurt regularly (especially plain yogurt that is low in sugar). You can also take acidophilus supplements by mouth on a regular basis.
If you already have an infection, you can use plain sugar free yogurt (preferably organic) as an external remedy for itching. You can also use organic garlic cloves and/or apple cider vinegar (both internally and externally). -
Step 3
Stay active and drink lots of waterDRINK WATER & STAY ACTIVE! This step pretty much speaks for itself. An active body makes for a healthy immune system. Drinking water regularly keeps your body functioning properly. Don't sit around all day and let the yeast grow. Make sure you get plenty of SLEEP and avoid stress.
But remember - if a yeast infection does not clear up within 7 days, try using over the counter treatments such as Monistat
