Things You'll Need:
- Meade Paper
- Papermate Pencil
- A Good Meade eraser
- Crayola Crayons or Crayola coloring pencils (optional)
-
Step 1
X marks your starting place. The first step into making these cute lovebirds is to take your Papermate pencil and place an X in the center of your Meade paper.
-
Step 2
With short curly strokes, make a head for each bird.
-
Step 3
With more short curly strokes, make a body for each bird.
-
Step 4
Add an eye on each bird. I chose oval eyes but you could do round eyes or be creative and do your own type of eyes. Add a wing on each bird near the center of each birds body.
-
Step 5
Draw a flower in one birds hair (optional). Draw a line down to make the birds beak. Now draw some hair on top of one (or both) of the bird's head. If you find you don't like the flower, use your Meade eraser to remove the flower.
-
Step 6
Finish the eyes by coloring in part of it. Then draw a line through the middle of the beaks to make the mouth. Next draw some hearts above the beaks but between the birds.
-
Step 7
Next add the feet. This is done by drawing a "triangle" where the legs would go. Now draw a three curved claws on each foot. Draw a branch under the birds so their claws appear to be wrapped around the branch.
-
Step 8
To make your picture "pop" go over it in ink or permanent marker (be careful with the marker for it could bleed through so place something under your picture).
