A new twist on that boring old Valentine Box
A new twist on that boring old Valentine Box

Tired of the making the same heart-covered shoe box every year? Try this cake box. Its fun and will stand out from the rest of the class's boxes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Layer up the boxes to determine how you want the "cake" to look when it is done. Cut the sides of the boxs so that Valentine cards will all drop into the bottom box. Cut a slot in the top box to drop the cards through.

  2. Step 2

Using a hot glue gun, glue the boxes shut, except the bottom box. You will need a way to get the cards out. Now, glue the boxes together to create the cake shape.

  3. Step 3

Paint the box the color you want the frosting. It may take a couple of coats to cover up the lettering on the boxes.

  4. Step 4

Once the paint is dry, use craft material and candy to decorate the box to look like a cake. Strung beads make a nice accent between the layers. Conversation hearts and fake gems make nice decorations too. Use a dimensional paint to add lettering.

  5. Step 5

Now your child has a unique Valentine box that will definately stand out from the crowd.
