Have your center crisscross the left wing by angling toward the boards as he or she leaves the neutral zone.

  4. Step 4

Instruct your left wing to skate behind the center and receive a pass from the right wing.

  5. Step 5

Send the left wing, at high speed, skating toward the net as the right wing crosses to the high slot.

Allow the left wing to take the shot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Initially leaving the right wing on his or her side helps for coverage if the play fails or the pass is poorly aimed.
  • Confusing the neutral zone in a hockey rink with that of a Star Trek role-playing game may lead to annihilation, Romulans or no.

on 11/22/2005 Center carries, crosses w/LW; C & RW go to net; LW stays high in slot w/puck. Creates a 3-on-2 in diamond formation; gives puck carrier 2 passing options. Or after crossing, make another pass to RW, stay in diamond. Always give carrier 2 passing options.
