When you scratch your CD or DVD, it can be very disturbing. It can cause your movies or music to skip or not play at all. My article with tell you how to clean a CD or DVD the PROPER way using 100% HOME MATERIALS.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scratched CD or DVD
  • Lint free cloth
  • Detergent
  1. Step 1

    Take a soft, lint free cloth and make it wet. Take a small amount of mild dish detergent and apply it to the wet cloth. Drain out the cloth until it is damp.

  2. Step 2

    Clean the bottom side of the CD or DVD using straight strokes from the center to the outer rim of the CD or DVD with the cloth. *DO NOT CLEAN IN CIRCULAR MOVEMENTS*

  3. Step 3

    Take a separate, similar cloth, this time dry. Dry the bottom of your CD or DVD using the same inner to outer motions.

  4. Step 4

    The CD or DVD should now be clean!!!! Test it out and you should be satisfied.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember inner to outer strokes
  • Be gentle when you handle the CD or DVD
  • Hold it by the outer edges to prevent making the disc dirty again
  • DO NOT USE CIRCULAR MOTIONS
