Instructions

Go online to a website specializing in online brochures:
There are many such sites - I've included some links at the bottom of this article - that are designed to speed you through the design of a brochure. Once you're on the site, click START to begin.

Select the type of brochure you want:
Do you want a brochure with a blank panel for a mailing label? One without the mailing panel? A simple flyer. It's up to you. Just click on the type you want. If you click and nothing happens, it may be because you're blocking Pop-Ups. Go to your browser settings and enable Pop-Ups, at least for the time you're on this particular site.

      Select a theme:
When you do, the template will appear in the window showing the brochure you're creating. Once you find one you like, click NEXT to continue.

      Enter the text:
Enter the relevant text where prompted. Generally you'll type a main headline for the font of the brochure, the return address for your business - which will be included where it makes sense for the type of brochure you're creating - subheadings and descriptions of services. You might include pricing. You might not, but in general you should have a brief description of our qualifications as well as a brief description of your services.

      Preview the brochure:
Click to preview your brochure. Print out the front and the back to see how they look in print, too. When you're happy with your design and have proofread your text, you're ready to print your brochures on the paper you've chosen or to arrange for a print shop to print your brochures.

Tips & Warnings

  • Think about the weight paper you'd like to use. Standard printer paper is light for mailing without an envelope. Go to the store and feel the paper to find one that will be right for you.

  • If you're going to use your brochure as a self-mailer, you can get perforated wafer stickers to attach to the brochure to keep the brochure closed while it's in the mail.

  • Some sites ask for the theme before the type of brochure but all sites as for both.
