How to Fast for Health and Vitality

For thousands of years people have been fasting out of spiritually duty and as a way to more effectively connect with the spiritual realm. Fasting can be more than a spiritual exercise, but a way to bring health and vitality to your body, and the up side is that you will lose weight.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    The definition of fasting is to abstain from food. Do eat? This sounds like insanity. Actually fasting is one of the best ways to restore vitality and health to the body. It is advised to start out with a Partial fast. With a partial fast you will eat only one meal a day. This is a good way to build up to a water, juice or total fast. If you are new to fasting always start very slow.

  2. Step 2

    A Total Fast. You can do a total fast, which entails not eating or drinking anything at all. The first three day are the most difficult as the impurities are being removed from your body. You may experience, hunger, dizziness or lethargy. After the third day you will feel revitalized and strong. You should not fast any longer than three days without water.

  3. Step 3

    A Water Fast. When you are on a water fast, you will drink nothing but water for a set amount of time. You can do a water fast for an extremely long time. With a water or liquid fast you will experience a great weight loss, after three day you will find yourself extremely alert and energetic. Do not drink tap water as it is filled with impurities. Drink distilled or ionized water. You may experience the same also experience, hunger, dizziness or lethargy. After the third day, you will feel strong and alert.

  4. Step 4

    A Juice Fast. A juice fast would entail, drinking small amounts of diluted fruit or vegetable juices throughout the day, for a set amount on time. My longest liquid fast was 21 days. With juice fasting you will experience similar benefits of the water fast. Juice fasting is excellent for vitality and healing the body.

  5. Step 5

    A Fruit and Vegetable Fast. With a fruit and vegetable fast you will eat nothing but fresh organic fruits and vegetables. On a juice fast you can do this indefinitely.

Tips & Warnings
  • Only drink or eat organic produce
  • Only drink distilled or ionized water
  • Start your fast slowly
  • Always talk to your doctor before fasting

on 1/12/2009 Thanks for How to Fast for Health and Vitality. I did fast a couple of times along with colon therapy. Maybe I can motivate myself again.
