You will learn how to make an awesome
Penne ala Vodka. This is a recipe handed down from my mother who is from Sicily and owns an Italian restaurant in NY for the past 35 years.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • heavy cream
  • bacon or prosciutto
  • garlic
  • tomato sauce
  • onions
  • penne macaroni
  • vodka
  • grated cheese
  1. Step 1

    cut 1/2 of pound of bacon or 1/2 of pound of prosciutto into small
    pieces.

  2. Step 2

    Cook bacon or prosciutto till brown.
    While the meat is cooking put water on for penne. Once the water is boiling cook the penne.

  3. Step 3

    Add about 5 slices of onion and 1 clove of garlic with a splash of vodka.
    Cook off the vodka.

  4. Step 4

    Now add 1 quart of heavy cream bring to a boil for about 3-5 minutes.
    Add 1-2 shots of vodka.

  5. Step 5

    Add tomato sauce till sauce is pink along with 2 cups of grated cheese.
    Bring to a boil again.
    Try the sauce and if needed add more grated cheese or more tomato sauce.

  6. Step 6

    Once the macaroni is cooked-drain and add to sauce.

  7. Step 7

    Now that is done place the penne ala vodka on a serving plate and garnish with fresh parsley or basil.

    Enjoy with family or friends this will be a meal they will never forget!!!
