If the defense is tightly controlled and hard to penetrate, this is a good way to get the puck out of the neutral zone and into scoring position. It's not a graceful maneuver, but it does the job.

  1. Step 1

Instruct the center to bring the puck up ice, for which the center will receive a defender in the face.

  2. Step 2

Pass the puck from the center into the corner and off the boards.

  3. Step 3

Pick up the puck with a wing.

  4. Step 4

Have the wing pass to the second wing, who is positioned in the low slot.

  5. Step 5

Instruct the second wing to shoot and score.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the defense shuts down passing lanes, the first wing can pass behind the net to the second wing.
  • Alternatively, the center can position himself high along the boards and pass hard into the corner, sailing the puck around the back of the rink to the opposite corner, where a wing is ready to receive.
  • Don't let the center shoot too hard into the corner. "Feather" it in just enough to keep it off the boards so it's easily retrievable by the wing.
  • If you have any condition that would impair or limit your ability to engage in physical activity, please consult a physician before attempting this activity. This information is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.

on 11/22/2005 When your center starts up the ice and encounters a defensive player, have him shoot into one of the two corners. The center should get into the point position. The winger to pass the puck back to the center who shoots for the wingers to rebound & score!
