buy healthy Chow Chow Puppies From Chow Chow Breeders

There are lots of Chow Chow breeders offering Chow Chow puppies for sale. Buying your Chow Chow puppy from a Chow breeder can be a daunting task if it's your first time and you have little experiences of buying pedigree Chow dogs. Learn how to make sure you ask the right questions and buy the perfect little Chow puppy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make sure you are buying from an established and reputable Chow Chow breeder. Most Kennel Clubs will have a list of approved breeders. Use this list as a first point of contact with reputable Chow Chow breeders.

  2. Step 2

When you visit the breeder make sure that you can see the parents of the Chow puppies for sale. Most breeders will invite you to view the mother of the litter and often the sire too if he is available.

  3. Step 3

Spend at least an hour observing the Chow puppies in the litter and with their Mother. This will allow you to see how well socialized the litter is and choose the Chow puppy that is right for you.

  4. Step 4

Make sure that the Chow Chow puppies have been given a health check, vaccinations and have been properly wormed. If possible, ask to see documents of proof from the Chow breeders vetinarian.

  5. Step 5

Ensure that the litter has been registered with the Kennel Club. Ask to see the papers for the parents and enquire as to where the Chow Chow breeder bought the parents of the Chow puppies. A reputable breeder will have all this information to hand.

  6. Step 6

Ask what guarantees does the Chow Chow breeder offer? What happens if your puppy doesn’t turn out according to the guarantee? Can he be replaced or will your money be returned?

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not buy from any breeder who won't show you the mother of the litter or who over produces litters. This is a indication that the Chow Chow breeder you are dealing may operate a puppy farm.
