2. One common mistake is that people who have autism are diagnosed with ADD because they can seem like they are not learning or they lack some social skills. Make sure that you are getting a few opinions when going with a diagnosis because giving a child medicine can cause issues if it is the wrong kind.

3. In some cases the doctor will diagnose ADD and then start to prescribe medicine. Other will try to cure the problem with a proper diet which has also proven to help. It is important for you to be open to these methods and understand that it is going to be a process and everything does not work the same for everybody.
