Learn how to sew a blind stitch. This is a sewing technique where the stitches hide if they are done correctly.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Needle
  • Thread
  • A project that has a small area such as an opening of a stuffed animal that needs to be sewn closed
  1. Step 1

Sew a project that has a small opening that cannot be sewn with the sewing machine, but needs to be sewn closed.

  2. Step 2

Thread a needle and tie the knot with both ends of the thread. Pull it so the knot hides inside of the folded edges of the fabric.

  3. Step 3

Start by putting the needle inside the hole and bringing it up through the fabric along the stream. Next fold the fabric inside so that the raw cut edges are hidden inside the edge. Take a small stitch in only one of the folded edges. Then take another stitch in the other piece of fabric you are trying to attach to the first piece. Repeat the process until the hole is stitched closed. Sew 3-4 stitches back on top of the last few stitches. Cut thread and your finished.
