In order to help your healing, put pure aloe gel on it. Calendula is also good because it's anti-inflammatory, astringent and antiseptic. It also promotes new skin growth and stops bleeding. A few drops of lavender oil helps in healing abrasions. The affected area can be disinfected with thyme tea or with a cup of water containing 3-5 drops of the essential oil. Home made salves and ointments made with tea tree and comfrey are also very effective in treating abrasions. Last, but not least, vinegar is a natural astringent so applying three part water to one part vinegar will help immensely.
