Things You'll Need:
- 1-2 bundles of tracks
- scissors
- needle and thread
- bobby pins
-
Step 1
CornrowsStart with hair that has been shampooed/conditioned and dried. Cornrow hair straight back in small to medium width braids from the front of the head to the nape of the neck.
-
Step 2
Using your needle and thread, attach the ends of each braid to the cornrow by sewing it. When you are done, none of the braides should be hanging down.
-
Step 3
Measure hair to client's headStarting from the nape of the neck, measure out a piece of track to the client's head from side to side and cut. Begin to sew the hair weft completely across.
-
Step 4
A full weave partially completedContinue this up to the ears and then around in a complete circle until the entire head is complete and none of the cornrows underneath are showing.
-
Step 5
Top of completed weaveAdd a closure to your weave. This step can be a little tricky but after a few tries, you will get it perfect. Leave about a 1 inch opening at the top of your weave. Cut another piece of the track of the same length. Roll the track into a circle a the base or along the weft (which is what the hair extentions are attached to). Sew that roll together and insert onto the opening your left a the top of your weave and sew it completely around.
-
Step 6
Style your weave to make it look naturalStyle. You can now cut and style your hair weave as you please. Your weave should last up to 6 weeks with this method.
