How to Hard Boil Perfect Eggs
Eggs are a classic entree. Whether scrambled, over-easy, poached, sunny-side up or shirred, eggs make for a convenient and tasty dish. A favorite way to prepare eggs is hard-boiled. In order to make perfect hard-boiled eggs, certain measures must be undertaken. A few factors need close attention. Select the amount of eggs you wish to cook. Place the eggs in a saucepan. Cover the eggs in cold water, using enough water to cover the eggs by roughly 1 inch. Place the uncovered saucepan on the stove.

Bring the water to a boil using a high fire or high setting if you are using an electric stove. As soon as the water comes to a full boil, reduce the heat. You will want the heat to be set at medium to high.

Boil the eggs for precisely 12 minutes. You should begin timing as soon as the water comes to a full boil. Twelve minutes is the correct duration for a perfect hard-boiled egg.

Turn off the heat at the 12-minute mark. Cover the pan. Let the eggs sit for an additional 10 minutes. Remove the cover and run a lot of cold water over the eggs to help cool them off. Let the eggs sit for another 20 minutes. Remove the eggs. Peel them and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure to boil the eggs for 12 minutes. Cooking them for less or more than the allotted 12 minutes will result in slight under or overcooked eggs.
