Things You'll Need:
- Portfolio
- Cash
-
Step 1
Investing can make you rich, but on the down side, it can leave you in the poor house, if you do not invest wisely. For instance, if you are going to invest in land or real estate, pick something that you can pay cash for, rather than making payments. Not only do you own the property, you bypass the financing charges which can cost you dearly in the long run. Investing in real estate is not as hard as it sounds, you just have to have the right resources at the right time. You'll need the cash up front to get going, that will usually run you around $300.00 and up for a real estate equal in value of around $25,000.00 and up. Cash speaks the loudest and the quickest.

Step 2
Investing in paintings, is another option for investments, but figure into your calculations, exactly how long you can afford to hold on to that painting until you can find a buyer. Expensive paintings are fairly easy to come by, but you'll need the cash to make sure you get the best of the deals. These cash buys can run anywhere from 10.00 all the way up to 300.00 for a $1500.00 and up painting.

Step 3
Jewelry is another good investment, but with gold and silver flutuating, you'll want to be careful and not over spend on what you are buying. There are open markets available right now, that you can buy gold and silver fairly cheap, although, the jewelry itself is not cheap by a long shot. Once again, you will need the cash up front to make the buy. You can start with anything above $20.00 and start your own collection. Don't forget you'll need to make a quick buy and then be prepared to hold it until you have a buyer.
-
Step 4
Stocks have always been a big thing for most investors, but due to economical problems, they are at a risk right now. You may be lucky and find a fantastic deal, but do your research, and invest wisely.
-
Step 5
Buying your own internet pictures is another wise choice. When you purchase, make sure you are buying all rights, so that you can use the photos whenever and where ever you choose. Not buying all rights can net you problems in the future. I have added a link below, that covers photos and some on land although more is being added to the land in the next couple of months.
