Things You'll Need:
- toaster
- colored photos
- markers, clear nail polish, paint, sandpaper, permanent markers (all optional)

Step 1
Torched ImagesPut a colored photograph in a toaster. Be careful not to set fire. I have done this numerous times and never had a problem. I usually take the photograph out at the first sight of smoke. I would suggest checking it every few seconds until you get used to it. A safer way to do this is to put a torch to the photo from the top. It must be at a distance or a lighter from the bottom, also from a distance. Think heat. However, the toaster is my tool of choice as it evenly distributes the heat and its quick. The point is to heat up the emulsion layer because it will shrink and crack and/or bubble, therefore, distorting your image. I would also suggest doing this outside because of the horrific smell.

Step 2
Montezuma, NM Castle #45Once you achieved the desired toasted limit. You may do several things. You may sandpaper distracting parts of the photograph, color to highlight others, use the permanent marker for text. Also, you may use clear nail polish to have a glossy finish. You may use anything that will stick to create color and texture to make this image your own. This is a quick way to have an original work of art in your house!

Step 3
Hang up on your living room wall for all to see!
