Do you want to do something special for your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife for Valentine's Day? Rather than buy them a gift, cook a special meal just for them!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Basic cooking skills
  • Money
  • Groceries
  • Candles
  • Beverages
  1. Step 1

Decide what you are going to cook and purchase all of your ingredients. Three ideas for menus are: 1. The Classic (see step 2), 2. The Italian (see step 3), and 3. The Casual (see step 4).

  2. Step 2

The Classic: Plan this menu with steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, bread, and red wine (the flavor goes better with the red meat). Decorate the table with rose petals and candles. Put on soft, romantic music. Serve chocolate cupcakes with red icing for dessert.

  3. Step 3

The Italian: Plan this menu with a pasta dish, salad, and Italian bread. Have wine (red wine for red meat, white wine for white meat) on the table with a few small candles and a checkerboard tablecloth. Have Italian love songs playing in the background and develop a sexy accent. Serve tiramisu or chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.

  4. Step 4

The Casual: Tell your partner to meet you for dinner in the bedroom. Plan this meal around a breakfast theme. Serve sausage, eggs, fresh fruit, and heart-shaped pancakes with whipped cream. Eating in the bedroom could lead to a lot of post-dinner fun, but if you prefer not to, you can still keep the mood sexy with candles. Instead of wine, drink 1/2 orange juice, 1/2 sweet champagne (such as Ballatore) in champagne flutes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Serve the food warm, even if you have to put it in the microwave for a little bit right before serving.
  • Ambiance is very important, so make sure to eat off of a nicely-set table. You can set the table while waiting on something to cook to save time.
  • Avoid any foods that may cause allergic reactions in you or your partner.
