If you print postage at USPS.com to ship your package priority mail, you will receive free delivery confirmation on the mailing label. Delivery confirmation at your local United States Post office will cost you 75 cents. If you are sending your package parcel post, you can purchase delivery confirmation for just 18 cents at usps.com. Delivery confirmation is your proof that the package was delivered. Postal carriers have noticed that anything with a delivery confirmation seems to be shipped as quickly as priority mail, regardless of the service paid for. Therefore, parcel post or media mail rates, while cheaper, will usually arrive in a few days with a delivery confirmation, except around Christmas. on 1/28/2009 Hi Ellie, there are flat rate boxes for international too. FYI, if the boxes are going to an APO you pay domestic shipping rates, pack those babies full, they do not have to stay the same shape!
