Nothing more relaxing that sitting back in a cushy chair at a salon and have someone draw hot wax onto your brow. Though, eyebrow waxing can be very expensive if you get it done frequently at a spa or salon. I tried to convince my sixteen year old daughter to wax her own eyebrows but she insisted upon going to a spa. Her mother, on the other hand, is trying to economize in these hard economic times. This article is not about hot waxing your eyebrows. It's just about using plastic strips that have adhesive on one side

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • buy a waxing kit
  • you can buy plastic strips that have adhesive on them at Walmart for about $3 which lasts for a few waxes
  • tweezers possibly with scissor handles
  • good lighting
  1. Step 1

In a well lit bathroom or other area, open up your box of adhesives. Choose one that will fit under the eyebrow nicely. You can also cut them to your shape but remember you will need a firm grip.

  2. Step 2

Place the strip strategically under one eyebrow. Press heavily with hand to make sure that the adhesive sticks to your skin.

  3. Step 3

Press down even harder to create an adhesion on your brow and prepare it for the hurtful part.

  4. Step 4

Now while pressing with part of your hand, pull the adhesive off in the opposite direction to which it is growing. Do it very quickly.

  5. Step 5

Keep doing this until you have removed all the hairs on the bottom of each brow. There are other pieces in the package for the top brow. You can do the same for the top brow.

  6. Step 6

Once completed, start plucking any hairs that you have missed. Eh voila!!

Tips & Warnings
  • careful not to cover hairs on your eyebrows that you don't want removed
  • use very good lighting
  • sometimes using the rearview mirrow of the car will give you good light
  • use one of those magnified mirrors you find in some luxury hotel rooms
  • don't do this too often
  • wait a couple of weeks before your next pull and pluck activity
  • enjoy saving money
