Planning a bridal shower in the winter can be tough. The weather limits what you can plan for the event. However, the weather shouldn't hold you back. There are plenty of ways to host a wonderful, winter bridal shower for a winter bride.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Plan the winter bridal shower as far in advance as possible. With holidays scattered throughout the winter season, you need to make sure to choose a date that works for the bride, and a date that most of her guests can attend.

  2. Step 2

Do not plan the winter bridal shower too early in the morning. For example, if you want to plan a brunch, do not plan it before 11 AM. If the weather is not nice on the day of the bridal shower, you'll need to give people plenty of time to wake up, get ready and commute to the bridal shower destination.

  3. Step 3

Use the winter to your advantage, and plan the bridal shower with a winter theme. This will allow you to decorate with a winter or snowflake theme. Because of the season, decorations will be inexpensive and easy to find.

  4. Step 4

Decorate tables with a white, winter scented candle in the center, and surrounding that, snowflake shaped sparkly confetti. Or, decorate with fake snow.

  5. Step 5

Serve warm, winter drinks at the bridal shower. Hot chocolate and hot cider are delicious, comforting drinks in the cold winter weather. These make great alternatives to just having plain coffee and tea.

  6. Step 6

Add a chocolate theme to the winter bridal shower. Have warm chocolate fondue and a chocolate fountain. Warm chocolate is delicious for a fun spirited event like a bridal shower, especially in the cold of winter.

  7. Step 7

Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting make a delicious dessert for a winter bridal shower. To take the winter theme further, place sprinkles in the shape of snowflakes on top of each cupcake.

  8. Step 8

Make or purchase white chocolate snowflakes to give out as party favors for those who attend the winter bridal shower. They will be inexpensive, delicious and will be in line with the winter theme. Or, give out candles with a winter scent as bridal shower favors.

  9. Step 9

If you don't want to use a winter theme for the bridal shower, simply decorate in pale, winter colors. Light blue or light pink, along with winter white, make a great color combination.
