Step 1
You can determine the price of your car based on how low or high the gas mileage is, any major or minor repairs done, a great paint job, new set of high quality tires, changing the upholstery and carpet and a rebuilt engine.
-
Step 2
If you are regularly maintaining it, changing the oil, having a general tune-up, checking your tire pressure, keeping the vehicle washed and waxed and cleaning out the inside weekly.
-
Step 3
Check the Value of your car on Kelley Blue Book online and compare the prices. You can also go to Yahoo Autos, put in the make, model, and year of car, and prices of similiar cars will come up. You can also check out priced vehicles at craigslist.com.
-
Step 4
Look in the newspaper classifieds under cars for sale. Call up the seller and ask questions about the car. Call up local used car dealers in your area and inquire about the price of cars that are the same model, make and year as yours.
