How to Clean Your Carpet With a Mop and Bucket

To hire a carpet cleaning professional could cost over $100 but there is a way to clean your carpet cheaply with a mop and bucket

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Vacuum Cleaner
• Mop
• Bucket
• Detergent

1. 

   Vacuum the floor to remove loose dirt
   Long step
   Ensure your bag is empty on your vacuum cleaner and place the power lead into the the power outlet
   
   Vacuum the floor in a back and forth motion to remove all the loose dirt.

2. Insure you have a clean mop and bucket that will wring out very dry. You do not want the mop to be dripping solution pryor to moping the carpet

3. Prepare your solution in bucket acording to manufactures directions in hot water.

4. Wring your mop out so as it not soaking wet and mop the cloor as you would mop any floor. Stubborn stains can be agitated with the mop.

5. Change your solution regularty as it becomes soiled. This avoids putting the dirt back onto the carpet

Tips & Warnings

• I like to use an idusrtial mop of 26 to 30 oz
• If you use a large mop you will need a large mop bucket to suit
• An excelent spotter can be made with a hight concentrate of detergent
• Dispose of used liquid down the drain
• Allways read the manufature saftey recomendation for detergents
