Things You'll Need:
- Pad or paper
- Refrigerator Magnet
- Pen
-
Step 1
Get a pad or a slip of paper to keep a grocery list.
Pads designed specifically for creating grocery lists can be purchased at the Dollar Store or the supermarket. If you prefer, take an 8 ½ by 11 sheet of paper, cut it into 3 equal strips and use it as a grocery list. -
Step 2
Print a grocery list off the internet.
Pre-populated grocery lists can be acquired from various online resources. With the pre-populated grocery lists, shoppers will only need to put a check mark by the required grocery item. -
Step 3
Affix the grocery list to the refrigerator.
Use a refrigerator magnet to hold the grocery list onto the refrigerator if it does not have a magnet affixed to the back. Each time an item gets low, add it to the list. Instruct family members to do the same. By purchasing the item before it is depleted, you ensure the family never runs out. This practice ensures you get what the family needs each time you go grocery shopping. It also help with choosing the most critical items when you shop with limited funds. -
Step 4
Write “Coupons” on top of the grocery list.
Writing coupons on the top of the grocery list each time reminds you to get them before going grocery shopping. Consider cutting out or printing coupons the night before and place them with the grocery list.

on 7/6/2009 How to Maintain a Current Grocery List is a great thing. I created a spreadsheet with the three stores I shop at and how much things cost as well as the best sale price I've gotten from them. I made it from my reciepts. It's great for comparitive shopping. Smile!
