Things You'll Need:
- Tub for soaking feet
- Smooth river stones
- Epsom salts
- Sea salt
- Olive oil
- Towel
- Nail clippers
- Nail trimmer
- Emery board
- Pumice stone
- Moisturizing lotion
-
Step 1
Place the smooth river stones in a tub. Fill the tub with warm water and 1/2 cup of Epsom salts. Stir the water until the salts dissolve.
-
Step 2
Soak your feet for fifteen minutes or until the water is no longer warm. While soaking, massage the bottom of your feet by rubbing them on the river stones.
-
Step 3
Use a pumice stone to gently scrub the soles of your feet.
-
Step 4
Dry your feet on the towel. Clip the nails straight across. Never clip nails in a curve, as this can lead to ingrown toenails.
-
Step 5
Use an emery board to smooth the clipped nails.
-
Step 6
Use a nail trimmer to remove any remaining dead skin or hangnails.
-
Step 7
Place a drop of oil on a fingertip and massage it into the cuticles. Rub moisturizing lotion into your toes, feet, ankles, and lower legs.
-
Step 8
Clean off the nails with a tissue, then add polish.
-
Step 9
Use a base coat first to prevent discoloring your nails. Next, add two coats of color. Last, add a clear topcoat.
