Curtains add a needed aesthetic touch to a room. Hanging them with clip rings allows the curtains to be moved along the curtain rod with ease.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1
    Clip Rings

CHOOSING CLIP RINGS: Make sure you get rings that will fit your chosen curtain rod. The package containing the rings will tell you the size of rod best for use with those rings. Also choose a color that will complement the decor of the room you are adding the draperies to. I have seen them in pewter, black, and gold, but there may be others so shop around.

  2. Step 2

ATTACHING CLIP RINGS: Lay your curtain out flat and clip the ring clasp to the top of the curtain.

  3. Step 3
    Clip Ring Spacing

SPACING CLIP RINGS: Keep the rings approximately 4 inches from one another unless otherwise directed by the package of clip rings.

  4. Step 4

MOUNTING DRAPERIES: Slide your curtain rod through the rings and hang the rod over your window.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not use these for blackout curtains if you can help it as there is a gap between the ring and the clip that will let light through.
  • Do not separate the hooks more than the recommended spacing because the metal loops that hold the clips to the rings can break if they bear too much weight.
