How to put out a kitchen fire the safe way. Kitchen fires and as far as that goes all fires should be considered very dangerous. If we keep our heads and don't panic we will have a better chance of possible saving our home and our lives.
Remember to call the fire department or 911 as they should be aware of any fire. always remember safety is first, do not ever take any unnecessary chances.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    If fire just started very carefully reach over and turn off burner. remember be very careful.

  2. Step 2

    Try and find a towel or cloth of some kind and wet it. make sure to wring out the excess water. Make sure the cloth is large enough to fit over the top of the pan or container.

  3. Step 3

    Gently spread over container that is burning. wait until the fire goes down, Be careful with this step, it is the one you need to take the most caution with.

Tips & Warnings
  • A kitchen fire is a risky situation always proceed with caution and wisdom, remember do not under any circumstances should you panic. above all you should always call the fire department. you never know if a fire has hidden it self in the walls or very unlikely place place. Be sure and watch the video in the resource section
  • Always consider the safest method and degree of the fire before continuing.
  • What ever you do DO NOT throw water on fire or container.
  • Do not try and remove the pan or container until the fire has stopped and the heat has cooled down.
