Make Valentine Lollipops

Are you looking for a sweet and unique treat to pass out on Valentine's day? Here is a recipe for for homemade lollipops for all the little darlings in your life.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lollipop molds
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Measuring cup
  • Pan
  • Candy Thermometer
  • 2 tsp. Candy flavoring
  • 1/4 tsp Candy coloring
  • 1 + 1/2 Cup Corn syrup
  • 1 Cup water
  • 1 + 3/4 Cup sugar
  • Conversation hearts candy
  • cooking spray
  1. Step 1

Gather all your ingredients together. You may choose whatever flavor and color you like best. Red is, of course, great for valentine lollipops. Prepare your molds ---- lightly spray with cooking spray and insert lollipop sticks. Add one candy conversation heart to each mold --- print side down.

  2. Step 2

Mix together sugar, corn syrup, and water in the saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

  3. Step 3

Once the sugar has dissolved, insert your candy thermometer and bring to a boil without stirring. When the syrup reaches 260 degrees, add the color.

  4. Step 4

Once the temperature reaches 300 degrees, remove from heat and add the flavoring. Stir.

  5. Step 5

Pour into lollipop molds and allow to cool. Once the lollipops are cool, pop them out of the molds and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • The sugar syrup gets EXTREMELY hot. Handle with care.
