This article will list the steps to connecting your Wii with friends to play Mario Strikers Charged, per the Nintendo website.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

You will need a high speed internet connection to play Wii Mario Strikers Charged. If your internet connection is not connected to Wii yet, see the link below. You may want to right click on the link and "open in new window" so you can easily come back to these instructions.

  2. Step 2

Create a Mii to be used, if you have not done so already. Friend codes are per Mii, not per console.

  3. Step 3

Click "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection" (picture of a globe) from the Main Menu of Wii Mario Strikers Charged.

Click the Mii you want to use as your online character.

    Click "Use this Mii".

You will now be logged into the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. You can now play against others.

  4. Step 4

To view your Friend Code (there is a different Friend Code per Mii), first go to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection with Wii Mario Strikers Charged (being sure to use the Mii you want to view the Friend Code for).

    Click "Friend Roster."

Your 12-digit Friend Code will be shown in white at the top of the screen.

  5. Step 5

To add a Friend Code, you need to get your friend's code.

Go to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection with Wii Mario Strikers Charged (being sure to use the Mii you want to view the Friend Code for).

    Click "Friend Roster."

    Click "Add Friend".

Enter your Friend's 12-digit Friend Code.

The Friend Code will display "Connecting" assuming that the numbers were entered correctly. In order for the Friend Code to be confirmed, both player's have to add each other's Friend Code to their systems, and both players must connect to the Nintendo WFC at the same time.

After both Friend Codes have been confirmed, your Friend's nickname will be shown next to their Mii. It will also display whether or not they are currently logged in to the Nintendo WFC.

Once the Friend Codes are confirmed, you will be able to play a "Friend Battle."
