This is a healthy recipe for honey mustard vinaigrette. It is creamy without using mayo. I used to make it for specials when I worked as a cook and it is my husbands favorite. This goes great with my Oven Roasted Chicken Strips the link is in the resource section.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Tablespoon Sweet hot mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/8 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. Step 1

Whisk together in medium size bowl sweet hot mustard, garlic, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Slowly drizzle olive oil into honey mustard mixture while whisking (if you whisk the olive oil in to fast or put to much in at once it will not blend with honey mustard mixture and get creamy). When finished with this step the honey mixture should be creamy and well mixed.

  2. Step 2

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  3. Step 3

You can serve this as a great dressing for any salad or even pasta salads. Also makes a great dipping sauce for chicken strips just look up how to make healthy baked chicken strips.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you add fresh herbs this makes a great sauce for grilled or roasted chicken.
  • Do not add to much oil. This is best used within 3 days.
