Things You'll Need:
- a want to save
- time to read this article
-
Step 1
If you travel a lot, or you like to just take a road trip you might at some point be staying in a hotel. I myself like to travel but have be unable to at the moment but I have plans to take a trip soon.
-
Step 2
Okay here is the first tip I want to give. Book outside of the weekend. I know this is hard to do but in the end you will save money, you might be asking why? Well on the weekends the rates per room are usually higher on the weekends. So if you can book on the weekdays. Here is another way to save money on a hotel, if you are taking a trip with a few people maybe you can share a room instead of getting two. Spilt the cost of the one room and have a sleep over of sorts.
-
Step 3
Call the hotel, this is another way to see if you can save some cash. Ask if there are any discounts for rooms and what you have to do to get the discounts. Most hotels will be more than happy to help since they need customers to stay in business. These are just a few ideas but I am sure there are more. Add them in the comments if you would like, and thank you for taking the time to read my article.

on 4/13/2009 We have to travel a couple times a year for one of my kid's activities. I always look online for what I need but then call direct. Sometimes it is a few bucks cheaper. Reserve as early as possible to avoid the less expensive hotel you want being full on the dates you need. They usually fill up quick. Don't assume they really are booked because it says online. I think the online sites must only get a certain number of reservations to fill online. Every time I have called, they have actually still had rooms available. Great article!!! 5*
