Stage your house

Staging your house is an important part of the home selling process. Remember that buyers will make their decision on whether or not they will buy in just a matter of seconds upon entering the home. You'll want to make this a great experience to the buyer.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First thing you need to do is clean the entire house. This also means taking all the clutter inside your home and doing something with it. You want the house to be as neat and clean as possible. Remember your trying to make the house look perfect for when the potential buyer enters the home.

  2. Step 2

Take a complete walk through of the home. Take note of any small or large damages throughout the house including holes in the dry wall. Once you have noted all the damages take the time to repair them. Don't forget the outside of the house as well. If you have peeling paint on your siding you'll want to repaint the house to make it look new.

  3. Step 3

Take out all of your family photos from the house. The reason for this is that you want to make the house look like a home without actually making it look like someone lives there.

  4. Step 4

Try to create as much open space in the home as possible. Buyers want to know how much space they are getting for their money. That means you should try to keep it as bare as possible in each room while still making it look like someone lives in the house.
