You will be able to braid your own hair if you follow these instructions.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • glass of water (spray bottle)
  • comb
  • hair tie
  1. Step 1

Brush or comb your hair thoroughly. It may be wet or dry, if dry you may want to spray or mist lightly with water. ( It helps keep sections of hair together better while braiding). Make sure it is tangle free.

  2. Step 2

Above and across your forehead divide hair into three even sections.

  3. Step 3

Make a part about 1/2 1n behind divided sections across top of head

  4. Step 4

Then Grab the end sections with both hands. (right hand rigt section-left hand left section)

  5. Step 5

Bring right section over center section, then hold center section with right hand, and let old right section lay in the center. Hold hair tightly together.

  6. Step 6

Then bring left section over the center, and change center for left. To start second section you can use a comb (I use my fingers) to make your next sections of hair.

  7. Step 7

Then continue the same pattern all the way down the head.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you hold hair tightly, to keep from falling out of the braid. hold sections to scalp after crossovers from right to center- left to center.
  • make sure your parts, and your sections are pretty much even or your hair will look bulky in places.
