Step by step instructions on making Orange Sherbert Fudge. This a recipe that I make for the holidays every year. It will yeild 3 pounds of fudge and it should take about half an hour.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 bag 12oz. bag of white chocolate chips,3 cups of sugar,1&1/2 sticks of natural butter,1 small can of evaporated milk,1 jar of marshmallow cream, 2 teaspoons of pure orange extract,4 drops of red foo
  1. Step 1

    In medium sauce pan add sugar,butter, and milk over medium low heat. Stirring till sugar and butter began to melt.

  2. Step 2

    Once sugar mixture melts contiune over medium low heat stirring often till mixture comes to a boil.

  3. Step 3

    boil stirring continually till it reaches 240 degrees on a candy thermomter.

  4. Step 4

    Remove from heat and add white chocolate chips stirring till all are melted.

  5. Step 5

    Add 2 teaspoons of pure orange extract. Stir well.

  6. Step 6

    Add marshmallow cream stiring till all is melted and smooth.

  7. Step 7

    Add 4 drops of red food coloring and 6 drops of yellow food coloring stiring well.

  8. Step 8

    Pour mixture into the 8x12 pan and let cool for several hours.

  9. Step 9

    Cut in to desired peices and enjoy.

  10. Step 10

    Cover in airtight container.

Tips & Warnings
  • Fudge will keep for 2 weeks in airtight container or can be frozen for use later. Clean up is really simple just fill sauce pan with very hot water and let it sit for a few min. then wash.
  • THIS IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WATCHING THIER SUGAR INTAKE OR FOR DIABETICS.
