How to Create a Spin the Bottle Valentine's Day Game
Roses, chocolates, fancy restaurants--and even diamonds--have all been on the Valentine's Day menu. But instead of looking to the usual gifts for your Valentine's Day celebration this year--give what you really want--each other! Here are some steps to creating a fun Valentine's tradition--a custom Spin the Bottle game that you can add to and change year after year.
Things You'll Need
- Red bottle with cork
- Strips of card stock
- Pen or computer and printer
- Naughty thoughts!

1
Start with a small bottle, about the size of a half-bottle of wine. Soak it in warm, soapy water to remove any labels and let it dry completely.
-
2
Spray paint the bottle until completely opaque; red, white, black, even hot pink are perfect. If the bottle has a cork, paint it the same color. Make sure the paint will adhere to glass and follow the paint instructions for best results.

3
Write or type actions on long strips of card stock to slip into the bottle. If using your computer and printer, format many on the same sheet of paper and cut into lengths after printing. If writing on the card stock, cut the stock into strips, then write the action on the strips.
-
4
Make the actions as suggestive as you like:
• Whisper a secret into your partner's ear
• Start a tickle fight
• Remove a piece of your partner's clothing, then invite him/her to remove the same piece of yours
• Include a few blanks that read "player's choice" -
5
Slip the strips of paper into the bottle, cork it and make a label to tie around the neck of the bottle (e.g. "Kathy and Ken's Spin the Bottle/Valentine's Day 2009"). Change the label every year and add a few new strips to the bottle.
-
6
A refresher on how to play STB: place the bottle on its side in between the two of you and give it a spin. When the bottle stops, the player the bottle is pointing closest to draws a slip from the bottle and performs the action on the list. If it is a "player's choice" slip, do what you'd like to do, slowly and with a mischievous attitude!
