Things You'll Need:
- Construction Paper (all colors)
- Indoor Ficus Tree
- String
- Hole Punch
- Magazines
- Glue
- Child Safety Scissors
- Clip Art from the Internet
-
Step 1
Help your children create decorations for a Valentine's Tree. Cut out red and white hearts from construction paper. On the hearts help children write the words Happy Valentine's Day, I love you, or You are Sweet. On top of each heart punch a hole. Put a piece of string through each hole and tie it. Children will probably need your help tying the string into a knot. Finally, hang the Valentine's Day ornaments on your indoor Ficus Tree.

Step 2
Children love coloring sheets. Go online and print free Valentine's Day coloring sheets from Kaboose. Kaboose is a website dedicated to arts and crafts for children. Their website address is located in my resource section.
-
Step 3
Make a love collage with children. Help them look through magazines and on the internet for pictures of things they love. Look for pictures that represent family, friends, pets, school, toys, their home, etc. Give them so assistance cutting out the pictures. Glue them on a big piece of construction paper. To make your chid or children feel extra special about their arts and craft project they made for Valentine's Day hang it on the fridge.
