The Presidential Inauguration Parade will follow the Swearing In Ceremony for Barack Obama as the President of the United States. There are many events taking place, on January 20, 2009, to honor and celebrate the inauguration including the inaugural parade. Thousands of spectators will line the streets as President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are escorted from the Capitol to the White House. There are several ways you and your family will be able to watch this historic event.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Presidential Inaugural Parade bleacher seat tickets which guarantee you a seated spot to watch the parade. The tickets are $25 and are available for sale at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 202-397-SEAT(7328), 410-547-SEAT(7328) or 703-573-SEAT(7328).

  2. Step 2

    Be part of the spectators who line the Presidential Inaugural Parade route. There will be 90+ music and other groups along with the Armed Forces as they honor the new President and Vice President.

  3. Step 3

    For the many who will not be at the Presidential Inaugural Parade you will be able to see it on many television broadcasts, listen to it on the radio, and even interact with CNN and your friends on Facebook. No matter where you are you will have the opportunity to be part of this historic day.

Tips & Warnings
  • The Presidential Inauguration Parade will start between 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Take your place along Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C.(after 7:00 a.m.), or tune into your favorite medium, to participate in this time honored American tradition.
