Step 1
Figure out what it means to be a good man to you. If this means finding a man who is motivated to make something out of his life, educated, treats his mom well, good spirited, respects others, someone who values the things that you do, and so on.
After you've done some soul searching as to what qualities you would like, you should also determine what you don't want...so what turns you off? This should help you know what is important to you. Moreover, it would help to have these qualities yourself. Often times like attracts like! -
Step 2
Maintain a positive attitude that finding a good man is in store for you. Don't be overeager but be comfortable enough that you are receptive when it does occur. Often times when you aren't trying, things will often happen on there own. Furthermore, just make sure your life is balance and you have a healthy mindset, meaning you are ready to let love in fully and freely. This will improve your chances of meeting someone who is also willing to love fully and freely.

Step 3
When keeping a positive attitude, be receptive to going out with others and doing things you enjoy. This will enable you to meet others who enjoy the things you do. For example, if you enjoy skiing, you may meet someone at a ski resort who also enjoys skiing. Other options could be online dating services or meeting someone through a friend.

Step 4
When meeting someone, see how they match up with the qualities you wanted and those you didn't. Naturally, they aren't going to have all the qualities but determine the ones you can live with. If you can't live with something, than chances are they aren't the one for you.
Remember settling is not an option. It simply prevents you from meeting that special one who is best suited for you. If is does not work out, be open to trying again while keeping a positive attitude.
