Baby Curls

For any Mom, or parent, one rite of passage is cutting off a curl, or two from their child's head. I will show you an easy way to store the hair once it is cut off your babies head.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Child(ren)
  • Hair to cut
  • Scissors
  • Plastic Bag(s)
  • Box(es) to store the hair
  1. Step 1

First, it is important to have a child, or two, in order to cut a curl off their head. Cutting a curl off a pet dog does not "cut it". Even if you treat your pet like a human, they are not human.

  2. Step 2

Second, it is a good thing if your child or children have at least one or two curls showing on their head. The hair can be long or short, as long as you can see it, to cut the curl. The curl can be big or small. If you think it is a curl, cut it.

  3. Step 3

Third, find a pair of scissors in your home and take them over to your child. Now, tell your child to sit still so as to not cut an ear or something else on their head. From experience, the hair will come back after being cut and more curls will show up for more cuttings down the road.

  4. Step 4

Fourth, to keep the curls intack, it is best to place the curl in a plastic bag. The bag can be ziplock or not. All that matters is that the hair is not exposed to the elements.

  5. Step 5

Fifth, if you have a small memory box, this is the best place to store the curl. It is a good idea to keep the curl away from light, if you can and wait to show your child their baby curl when they are eighteen, twenty-one or married. This will be a sweet gift to give your child.

on 2/18/2009 Yes, I have one of those memorabilia sets too. I used that when my twins were infants. Now that they are older, they curls are longer and more visable. So, I had to cut a lock off and save it in a plastic bag...LOL

on 2/18/2009 Thanks. Or a memorabilia set usually has something to store the curl in too.
