You Can Make Your Own Gummy Candy at Home

Gummy bears have long been the favorite candy of thousands of people all over the world. What many people don't know is that they can make their own gummy candy at home with a minimal investment of time, ingredients, and effort. The best thing about homemade gummy candy is that if you prefer a particular flavor, you will have an entire batch of it.

Things You'll Need

• 1 Small Box of Jello
• 7 Envelopes Unflavored Gelatin
• 1/2 Cup Water
• Small Saucepan

1. Mix the Jello and gelatin together in the saucepan. Make sure that they are thoroughly combined.

2. Stir the water into the gelatin mixture. It will become a lumpy mess for now, but will smooth out soon enough once it is heated.

3. Place the saucepan over medium low heat and gently stir until all of the gelatin has melted. It will take several minutes for the lumps to smooth out, but do not allow this mixture to boil.

4. Pour your molten gelatin mixture into bear shaped candy molds. After all, if the molds aren't bear shaped, they won't be gummy bears.

5. Place your candy molds in the freezer for ten minutes so your gummy candies can set.

6. 

   Remove from molds and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings

• Don't limit yourself to just gummy bears. There are hundreds of different candy molds available.

• A plastic squeeze bottle makes it much neater and easier to fill the candy molds.

• Unlike store bought gummy candy, these do not contain preservatives, so they will go bad quickly if not eaten.

• Be sure to make a lot. These gummy bears disappear quickly.
