How to Get Clothes Free

It's possible to get clothes, free, and I don't mean hand-me-downs or otherwise undesirable garments. What if you could get top-of-the-line fashions, or even designer skirts, expensive shirts and new accessories for free? Think "The Devil Wears Prada." Here's how to get clothes free.

Instructions

1. 

   Get a job at a fashion magazine, or any publication or website that has a style section. The larger the style section, the better. If you don't get a job in the style, fashion or accessories department right away, don't give up. Take the job you are offered and work hard to switch to the department you want. The goal is to get clothes free ... it may take some time to get there.

2. 

   Stay on top of style trends, new designer labels, clothing fashion shows. Learn as much as you can in order to stand out in your department or field. The more you know about clothes, the more likely you are to gain a position working directly with fashion samples. Once you are in a good job position in regards clothing, you will find that you can get clothes free after fashion shoots or from the excess sent over by designers.

3. 

   Start a fashion and design website or blog. Build it up, posting nearly daily and marketing your blog online to gain a readership. Once your blog has a strong following, contact designers, clothes manufacturers and accessories companies to send clothing for you to showcase and review on your site. Most don't want the items back, so you get clothes free with just a little effort.

• You don't have to live in New York or California to work in a fashion magazine. Look for local publications or newspapers with fashion sections.
