How to make a Chinese restaurant favorite in minuets at home. On the Stove top or Microwave.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fresh Green Beans
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Water
  • Teriyaki Sauce
  1. Step 1

    Snap ends of fresh Green Beans
    Wash in cold water

  2. Step 2

    Stove Top:
    Place Green Beans in kettle with about a half an inch of water. Bring to boil, reduce heat and cover with a lid for 2-3 minutes or until Beans become an intense green color, there texture should be tender with a hint of crispness.

    Microwave:
    Place Green Beans in a microwave safe dish with about a half an inch of water. Microwave on high for about 2-3 minuets. Beans should be a intense green color, there texture should be tender with a hint of crispness.

  3. Step 3

    Stove Top / Mictowave
    Drain water from beans and set aside

  4. Step 4

    Stove Top / Microwave
    Peel and mince 1 clove of garlic. "note:this is depending upon personal taste and amount of beans used."

    Place minced garlic in cooking vessel cook for about a minute. Garlic will be soft.

  5. Step 5

    Stove Top / Microwave
    Return the beans to the cooking vessel with the garlic.
    Sprinkle with salt
    Then add Teriyaki sauce "This will be to personal taste for a serving for four I use about 1/4 cup"
    Mix beans and ingredients
    Let them sit for around five minutes to absorb the flavors reheat for about a minute in the microwave, and about 3 minutes on the stove top.
    They are then ready to serve

Tips & Warnings
  • The beautiful thing with this simple recipe is you can cook your beans longer or shorter for your desired crispness.
  • They will not taste exactly like your local Chinese place. But they can be awful addictive with fewer calories then the original recipe.
