Choosing the right DJ can be difficult. There are many companies and a variety of price ranges. How can you be sure that you are picking the right one? This guide can help.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Phone Book
  • Computer
  • Ability to ask questions
  1. Step 1

First, you need to nail down the details of your event. Decide what you want the feel of your event to be.

Are you looking for a cocktail type atmosphere or an all out party?
How many guests will you have?
What attire will the DJ need to wear?
What is your DJ style (ie laid back and low key, loud and dynamic)?
How long will you need them for?
    What is your budget?

  2. Step 2

Start calling companies. The above questions will ensure that you are making the most out of your calls to companies and that you are ruling out DJ's that don't fit your guidelines.

  3. Step 3

Ask for references that you can contact to vouch for the DJ. This will give you an opportunity to speak with a customer about their experience.

  4. Step 4

If you have gone through the above steps and feel comfortable than book the DJ! You will have a great event.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do call as many DJ's as you like
  • DON'T book the first DJ you call
  • Do know what you are looking for before you call
  • DON'T get intimidated into booking
