This delicious cheese soufflé will impress your company for Sunday brunch. You make it the night before and just pop it in the oven an hour before you want it ready to eat. Your time can be spent preparing the side dishes and table.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10 slices italian bread
  • 3 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 4 cups milk (2% or whole)
  • 8-10 eggs
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp dry mustard
  1. Step 1

The night before . . . First butter both sides of 10 slices of italian bread. The bread is best if it is a day or two old and not super fresh.
    Cube the bread. Set aside.

  2. Step 2

In a large mixing bowl add ten eggs, milk, 2 teaspoons of salt and 2 teaspoons of dry mustard. mix with large fork or whisk. Add 3 cups grated cheddar cheese and cubed bread and mix well with large spoon. Let stand in fridge over night.

  3. Step 3

The next day add mixture to medium sized deep casserole dish or 10 by 13 pan. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for one hour.

  4. Step 4

To complete the meal serve with fresh sliced fruit in season,Canadian bacon or lean ham slices. For beveridges I suggest tea, coffee and or mimosas which you can see both the alcoholic and virgin recipi for in my article "How To Make Holiday Cheer Mimosas."
